What is Nemo you may ask? Yes, it is an adorable little disney clown fish, but that is not the Nemo to which I am referring right now. The Nemo I am talking about is this ridiculous winter storm that hit us today. Who would give such an unpleasant thing such a cute name? It is far from cute! I am SO glad that I have lucked out the last two storms that we have gotten, they have both hit on Fridays and I don't work on Fridays so I haven't had to deal with driving on the freeway. I did however have to drive Bobby to the school and pick him up tonight, it was not fun. There were people sliding all over the place. I actually saw a lady cross country skiing in the STREET when I was driving to pick Bobby up from basketball...only in Rochester. It started snowing around noon and has not let up yet, and now the wind is picking up. So glad we are in for the night! I really hope this is the last winter storm we get before spring!
So although the weather outside was beyond frightful, I was not going to wait another day to get our save the dates out. I had them all ready to go on Wednesday for Bobby to take to the post office and what do you know, there was a huge fire in the apartment building next to us and it kind of threw everything off a little bit, understandably so I would say. So, as of about 630pm tonight they are officially in the USPS mail system and should be on their way to the hands of our ever so wonderful guests! I actually had such a weird feeling when I put them in the mail, almost a nervous/scared feeling. I literally paused before closing the mail shoot haha I don't know why! I couldn't wait to get them out, maybe it's just because NOW everything is seriously happening and our wedding is right around the corner and it's really hard to believe! REALLY exciting, but crazy too because it has been such a long time coming! :)
Next on the wedding agenda is to call the hotel for our room blocks and finalize our contract with them. I keep forgetting to do it (I wonder why) but I am going to try to call tomorrow and hopefully the lady I need to speak with is in. If not, there's always Monday!

What a Week!
Wow, this week has just been "one of those" weeks and I am flat out exhausted. I never caught up from the busy weekend and this week was beyond crazy, therefore I just fell more behind on rest and today could barely function. Then to round off the week the neighboring apartment, which we share a WALL with caught on fire yesterday. Yes, a legitimate FIRE...I was at work and Bobby was home and he texted me "it smells like a camp fire" so he goes and looks out the window and there are flames billowing out of the window and by that point he hears the fire truck sirens...followed by the firemen banging on the doors of our apartment telling everyone to "get the eff out". Turned out they had to go through our ceiling in our bathroom and the ceiling in our spare bedroom to help put out the fire. This all happened around 3pm yesterday so Bobby ended up coming over to the family's house that I work and just hung out until I got off at 530. We had no idea what to expect, and were expecting the worst, but it definitely wasn't the worst. Yes we had huge holes in our ceilings, but they had nailed some dry wall boards over them temporarily and will have to come back in and patch everything up. Bobby's clothes were covered in debri from the ceiling and there was soot all over the bathroom and our apartment smelled (and still smells) like smoke, but nothing irreplaceable was ruined and we were able to still have a place to live. Four apartments burned yesterday, displacing 4 families. I am beyond thankful that that didn't happen to us, but feel terrible for the people that it did happen to. Our apartment complex is wonderful though and have put them up in new apartments until they are able to gut and rebuild the inside of those apartments, however long that will take.
Talk about STRESS! That is quite literally that 'what would you grab from your house if it were on fire" moments and what did Bobby grab you ask? My laptop, our external hard drive full of pictures, and last but not least...our save the dates. LOL. Bless his heart. <3
So since all of his clothes in his closet got covered in debri guess who got to take it all to work and wash it all today...me. On top of taking care of twins. It was just an exhausting day running on about 4.5 hours of sleep...just not really practical for me. The lack of sleep definitely compounds upon itself and by my friday I am beat and can't WAIT to sleep in tomorrow. I didn't have the energy to do my leg and back workout today, which sucks, this week has been kind of off but I am only a day behind so I am planning on getting a lot of rest tonight and doing a double tomorrow with legs/back and kenpo. Just gotta do it and make it work!
Next week is going to be another type of stressful week...Bobby's big huge super important interview in Houston...I hope I survive the next month. :/

Scholarship Weekend
This weekend was/is Scholarship weekend at Simon. Prospective students come to Simon and compete for scholarship money from the school and then depending on how well they do (how much they receive) generally make their decision to accept or decline admission to Simon. Anyway, they usually bring their significant other (partner) along with them as well to check out Rochester, see if they like it and would want to move here, etc. Being a part of the Simon Partners group (a group of boyfriends, girlfriend, fiances, wives, husbands of Simon Students) we are in charge of taking the prospective partners out and "convincing them" that Simon is where their partner should go and that they should support their decision in coming basically. We tell them all about the partner's group and what we are about; basically a support system for other partners since we are all basically going through the same stresses and experiences as they each other.
These weekends are always fun, you get to go to dinner, breakfast, lunch, art gallery, etc all on Simon's dime. You get to meet new people who are looking to coming to Rochester, share your experiences, both good and bad and really help them with this big decision. It is always a good time, and who doesn't like getting wined and dined? We always have the coolest driver take us from place to place who just adds to the fun. The people are always (for the most part) very friendly and eager to find out about the Simon school and about the Partners program. A lot of MBA programs don't offer the partners program, but they really should. It's an incredible resource to have for when you are relocating for something that you will rarely see your partner for the next two years! haha You can vent to each other, hang out, and you really create wonderful friendships that will last a life time that you otherwise may not have made.
It was kind of a reality check this weekend when we were talking about our time here, and realized that we only have 5 more short months left in Rochester and then we will be on our next adventure. As much as I say Rochester isn't my favorite place, and I would never live here long term. I still owe it a lot of thanks, because regardless of how different it is than CA, and how COLD it is, and how it really isn't somewhere we would prefer to live. It still gave us an awesome experience; both with creating new relationships with people as well as allowing Bobby and I to build upon our own. It is really sad to think about all of us parting ways and starting a new chapter in our lives, and really makes me appreciate the time we had here. The 20 months REALLY flies by, and when it first starts it feels like it is going to last forever, but now here we are 5 months out from graduation and time only continues to fly by faster and faster. Before we know it we will all be at their graduation and preparing to move to where ever is in store for us...hopefully in the next month to 6 weeks we will have somewhat of a destination for where we will be going next...a lot will be happening in these last 5 months and it is definitely going to be a whirlwind!

Is it Spring Yet?
UGH! I am SO over being cold! Having to start my car 15 minutes before I have to leave, scraping snow and ice off the windows, bundling up from head to toe, bracing myself every time I go outside for the artctic blast...the list goes on. Do you want to live in the North East yet? Didn't think so! Neither do I! This winter has DEFINITELY been colder and we have had way more snow than last year. I thought last year was bad, well this winter and cold feels never ending! I know I said the same thing last winter, but seriously it is a LOT worse this year and I am just so over it! I have been trying to "embrace" it and just deal, not complain (except with Bobby because he hates it too) but I seriously DREAD going outside every single day! There is no sun, it's cloudy and dark all of the time, I am quite literally the palest I have ever been maybe since being born lol
The last week has been the COLDEST weather I have EVER experienced in my life. 8 degrees, with -17 degree windchill/Real Feel. I could barely breathe just walking out to my car! Then the snow came. As if 8 degrees wasn't bad enough, lets toss in some frozen rain on top of it! I seriously PRAY we end up somewhere either SOUTH or somewhere WEST...somewhere WARM! I don't know if I can handle another winter anywhere close to this! I am SO looking forward to summer in Southern California, the sun, the beach, WARMTH, sandals, shorts, t shirts...I will happily toss my boots in the garbage in hopes of NEVER having to put those dang things on my feet again!
Hopefully I am not jinxing myself right now, haha Guess we will find out here in the next couple of months! Cross your fingers for me!
In other HAPPY news, I met my goal! :) I have successfully addressed well over half of our Save the Dates. Bobby had a make-up class Friday night so I took the time and just busted out a ton of our save the dates and now have less than half to complete. Some people are in the middle of moving right now and I don't have their new addresses so I kind of have to wait for them to send theirs out, but I have the majority and can't wait to get this in the mail! I still need to go to the post office and get stamps and stamp the things too, so hopefully I can get those this week, finish addressing, stamp them and get them out next week! New goal! :) Wish me luck!
Friday ALSO marks the end of my first 30 days of P90X! If you haven't checked out my new fitness blog check it out, I will be posting all of my progress on there, I can't wait to see how far I have come in JUST 30 days of eating clean and busting my butt! ;) xoxo

My Goal for the Weekend
I have one goal this weekend, and that is to START ADDRESSING OUR SAVE THE DATES! I keep putting it off, but have also been really busy but this weekend I am setting a goal to at least start working on them! They have been sitting in the box for a few weeks now and we just reached the 7 month mark so it is definitely time to get going on them so I can actually get them out in the next two weeks!
Bobby's big interview is February 12th-14th in Houston and we will be going to DC that weekend as well for his MBA Basketball tournament, so my goal is to have them all mailed off by then! I am excited for DC! I have been wanting to go and finally get to! Bobby will be flying in from Houston on Friday afternoon so I will be driving with a couple friends early Friday morning to meet and pick him up at the airport. Friday should be the day that we get to do some site seeing so we will have to figure out exactly what we want to do and see while we are there, since we have limited time. I am pretty sure he will be playing basketball most of the day Saturday and Sunday so pretty much Friday is the only day to do stuff.
Anyway, VERY excited to get our save the dates out, VERY excited for DC, and VERY excited and anxious for Bobby's interview in a couple of weeks! :)

Double Trouble
Last week Megan went back to work, so twin duty started! Now my schedule is a lot more hours, but less with my buddy Julia and more with the sisters. Monday's I get to hang with Julia a bit since she is home from school and Megan doesn't work on Monday's so we split the duties between the 3 girls to make it more manageable. One of us usually takes Julia to do something out of the house, or we all just hang out at home, which she usually likes to do. I can't blame her since she did pick up an extra day at school with the new schedule (although she does LOVE her school). Monday's are half days, usually 9-2 and Tuesday through Thursday are EARLY, LONG days with the twins!
The girls just turned 4 months old on the 17th and I can't even believe how big they have gotten! Especially Claudia, she is SUCH a little chunk! I swear they have switched personalities, which is supposedly what a lot of people with twins says happens! The first few months Claudia was the diva baby, fought her naps, always wanted to be held, etc and now it seems that Vaughn has picked up a little of the diva-ness and Claudia is such a happy laid back baby. I think Vaughn just got tired of having to be patient with Claudia and now she wants some extra love that she thinks she missed out on ;) Haha! They really are BOTH such great babies. They don't cry or get fussy unless they're hungry or tired and they both go down for their naps in their cribs pretty darn easy, swaddle, lay them down and they go to sleep.
They are kind of starting to get on a schedule which is nice! Not all days work out that way, some days, like last Thursday they were on the complete opposite schedule, their naps only overlapped for 1 hour haha Now that was a busy day! I seriously love them though and love my job, but they definitely have put my baby clock on hold! It is a LOT of work and I am definitely not ready for that YET! Maybe after I stop working for them and after the wedding I will get the fever again ;)
Now for some pics (of course!)

Only a Couple More to Book!
Vendors that is! We just booked our photo booth, which is something I have ALWAYS wanted to have, but almost gave up on, but Bobby wouldn't let me. (Love him). He knew how much I wanted to have one at our wedding from the very beginning, before we even got engaged and up until last week I was content on not having one until I came across Happy Foto Booth out of Irvine! They just did a NYE wedding at Rancho which was amazing so when I was browsing the pictures I came across them and they actually reached out to me on Facebook because they saw me comment on Rancho's page...meant to be! They also have SUPER reasonable pricing so I couldn't say no! I just keep telling myself I have waited a LONG freakin time for this wedding and we only get one, might as well do exactly what we want if we can...so we are! SO excited!
Now I only have to book hair and make up and Bobby has to talk to and figure out who is actually going to marry us! HA...only probably the most important part of the wedding, leaving it for last ;) OOPS! He better get on it thought because the upcoming months could get very busy and February for sure is going to be, then he goes to India in March! Time is just going to fly and I better not show up on our wedding day with no officiant to marry us gosh dangit! LOL Just kidding, I know that won't happen, but still....he better get on it, I will have to give him another friendly reminder this week ;)
Almost into the 100's already WHAAAA?! So exciting! :)
