YAY! Bobby is currently en route to Rochester RIGHT NOW from JFK and I can't wait to see him!!! We haven't talked basically this whole week he has been gone, just random 5 minute fb message conversations whenever he had wifi and time, which was not very often. No phone, no skype, nothing! Ah I have missed him so much and I can't wait to see him! Before he left he said any trip over 5 days and I am coming from now on haha Let's hope that holds true! :)
Now to go shower and head to the airport to pick my love up! <33
SO HAPPY!

No Warmth in Sight
COLD COLD COLD! That pretty much sums up the last 6+ months of living in Rochester. It is pretty obvious to say that I am OVER IT! It is currently snowing as I type...still. It is about 27 degrees outside. It is supposed to be SPRING in 3 days and this is the weather we have. UGH! The extended forecast literally just says COLD for the next 10+ days. I am about at my breaking point with this hellish weather, I have stuck it out up to this point but I can't handle it anymore! GRR! 3 months and counting until CALIFORNIA AND HOT SUN BEACH WARMTH HAPPINESS! :)
Last Saturday was the Ugly Disco with my amazeballs friend Theresa. She scored us VIP tickets from her boss which included; free food, free drinks, and VIP treatment all night! It was SO much fun! There was Go-Go cages, live bands, delicious food, a beer pong tournament, photo booth, giant twister (which I won), dancing, and so many memories made! It was so hilariously awesome seeing everyone dress up to the MAX in 70's garb, I felt SO underdone haha I am a newbie though, we talked about how fun it would be to come back and really go all out and actually prepare. It was definitely a night to remember!

SO MUCH FUN!
Bobby left for India early this morning for a week for the Graduate Business Forum. It is somewhere new every year, it was here last year, and this year it is in India. I already can't wait for him to be back! He will be enjoying 100 degree weather and gets a nice break from the bitter cold. I am praying it warms up all of a sudden that would be splendid...not holding my breath though!

Another Catch Up
I find the days and weeks flying by lately! I can't believe it! It is already March 8th...what the?! On one hand I am thrilled because hopefully it means Spring is right around the corner, but on the other it sends my anxiety into full force because it means we are closer to Bobby's graduation and our wedding and there is still SO much to be determined between now and then! AH! I just have to remember to breathe and put it in God's hands. Things always work out in the end!
This week I have been sick all week! BOO :( I thought I escaped the sick season without being effected, but nope. Caught it! The Gabel's were sick last week, including those sweet little babies who sneeze in my face so I was bound to get sick and I did. I am definitely on the mend though and am now just stuck with the congestion and stuffed up nose, but MUCH better than the first half of the week!
We still haven't heard back from the company Bobby interviewed for in Houston 3 weeks ago. They told him a "minimum" of three weeks, so we aren't freaking out completely just yet. They will let us know either way, it's just very nerve wrecking playing this dang waiting game. Thankfully he has other potential offers in the works as well, but still just playing that game. It will work out how it is meant to though! *fingers crossed*
Today I am getting my hair done! YAY! My hair has gotten a lot darker (for me) since moving here, due to the obvious lack of SUN! So I am now in the process of trying to get it lighter for the wedding. I want it at least a couple shades lighter so we will see how it goes, it may not really be a process haha I love getting my hair done it always feels so amazing afterwards so I can't wait!
Tomorrow, my friend Theresa scored tickets through the family she works for to the Ugly Disco! It is this HUGE Disco benefit/party that they throw every year here in Rochester. We are getting decked out in 70's garb and are having a girls night! We are SO pumped for it! I am going to be doing a little bit of shopping today for it and hopefully come up with some good stuff. I has proven to be a little difficult to find 70's disco attire, since the 70's was such a mix of the 60's and 80's! Either way though it is going to be a BLAST! Pictures to come!!! :)
Bobby leaves for India next weekend for 5 days. He is currently in NYC...he had to drive all the way to the Indian Visa office to get his Visa approved in time. There were some major miscommunications with the school and him and it all got put to the last second...wonderful. So he should get it early next week and then be off to India that weekend...nothing like the LAST possible second! Our lives are so crazy, it should be made into a movie...or a book...I guess if I just printed this blog out I could make it into one ;) haha It is definitely a love/hate relationship with our chaotic lives, but that is why LOVE IS A JOURNEY! ;)
ok blabbing, stay tuned for Ugly Disco pictures coming up after this weekend it is about to be a blast from the past ;)

Life Lately
It has been awhile! These past couple of weeks have been so busy! With Bobby's interview in Houston, followed by our weekend in DC for his basketball tournament and work I haven't had much extra time to sit down and really write anything. I literally wake up at 5am, eat breakfast, get to work by 7am work till 530, come home, workout, eat dinner, shower, pack meals for the next day and go to bed.
There are definitely not enough hours in the days lately, and I thoroughly enjoy my weekends (even though they fly by extremely fast!)
So quickly, what is new:
* Bobby's interview went very well! He really enjoyed the people who were there interviewing and also got along very well with the people who currently work for the company and those in charge of the assessment center. He left the assessment center feeling confident. They told them that they would know yes or no in "about" 3 weeks. Contracts etc have to be negotiated by mid April so really they said decisions on their part needed to be made in no more than 3 weeks...it has been a week so we have 2 more to go till we hear something! He received an email on Tuesday asking for 2 references so we are hoping that's a good sign! *FINGERS CROSSED*
* DC was a BLAST! We didn't have time to do any site seeing, besides our quick car tour the night we got there, because the weekend was literally jam packed full of basketball but that is ok it was still SO much fun! We ate at two delicious restaurants and just from walking around a bit and driving through I want to go back SO bad. It is such an awesome city. It was so nice to get out of Rochester for a couple of days, it was much needed!
* We got our Save the Dates out in the mail finally a couple of weeks ago...everyone was messaging me and letting me know they got them so that made it REAL and so exciting! 6 months from today is the big day! We are BEYOND excited!!!!
*P90x has been going amazingly and I am loving my results and just my overall outlook on life now that I am living a healthier lifestyle! I am definitely MUCH happier! :)
*A bunch of us signed up for the Color Vibe 5K on April 20th here in Rochester! We were originally going to do the "official" Color Run here, but it was the day after our annual Black Jack Ball and we knew none of us would be up for getting up the morning after to run so we discovered the same exact race was April 20th and decided to start a team and do it! I am SO excited for it it is going to be a blast!
* The twins are getting so big! They turned 5 months on the 17th! I just LOVE them so much they're the cutest things and such sweet easy babies. It is a LOT of work and exhausting but it makes the days go fast, I enjoy my job so much, and I just couldn't ask for much more! It is going to be REALLY hard to leave in June though...that's for sure :( I am not looking forward to it at all I love my Gabel girls.
*It's still FREEZING. There has been snow on the ground for weeks...it hasn't gotten above 35 degrees I am pretty sure and even that is rare. There is no end in sight...I am so over it and ready for SUMMER!!!!
Hmm...I can't really think of much else right now! I am sure there are more things but those are the major high lights of our life lately. There is a lot going on all of the time and that is pretty much how it is going to be for the next 6 months until the wedding, but I can't wait! It is all new and exciting things..life changing things! I will have to get some pics of the girls up here soon you wouldn't believe how much they have grown! Especially Claudia haha Until then! Have a great weekend! :)

BIG Week!
I can't believe this week has finally arrived. We have been awaiting this week since December and it has been a long, anxious two months! Bobby flies out to Houston this afternoon for his final round interview with his top choice company. It is a two day assessment center, so much, much more than just a normal interview! It lasts from 8am-9pm tomorrow, and 8am-5pm on Thursday. The top 12 candidates from the US will be there, and I believe they pick 3 people for the job. It's an International Talent Rotational Program, meaning we would be living in 3 different countries over the next 2 years IF he gets an offer and we accept. It is pretty much our dream situation since we love to travel and have always wanted to live abroad, which is why we have been so anxious and stressed about it. He has made it this far from over 3,000 applicants worldwide so it is a big deal! He seems to be excited about these next two days, which I am glad because I am just straight stressed haha After this, from talking to people who are currently in the program, it will be another 4-6 weeks before we hear if he gets an offer or not! UGH...another waiting game...hate that game, it is not fun!
He is also meeting up with someone who works for another company down in Houston who is working on getting him a job too. A job that would also be GREAT! If everything goes well with that he will probably be flying back down to Houston in the near future. It is great to have a couple options, but definitely doesn't help the stress...It is also pretty scary to think we could possibly be moving out of the country in September, but it is a dream. I guess it is true what they say..."If your dreams don't scare you they aren't big enough." It is scary and beyond exciting all at once...mixed in with stress and anxiety waiting to see what even happens! Two totally different possibilities, two completely different paths...aaaah I wish we could just fast forward through the next two months so we would know one way or another what we will be doing! I am hoping that since there is so much going on in the next few months that it will feel like it fast forwarding haha
Prayers and good thoughts appreciated!!! xoxo

Nemo
What is Nemo you may ask? Yes, it is an adorable little disney clown fish, but that is not the Nemo to which I am referring right now. The Nemo I am talking about is this ridiculous winter storm that hit us today. Who would give such an unpleasant thing such a cute name? It is far from cute! I am SO glad that I have lucked out the last two storms that we have gotten, they have both hit on Fridays and I don't work on Fridays so I haven't had to deal with driving on the freeway. I did however have to drive Bobby to the school and pick him up tonight, it was not fun. There were people sliding all over the place. I actually saw a lady cross country skiing in the STREET when I was driving to pick Bobby up from basketball...only in Rochester. It started snowing around noon and has not let up yet, and now the wind is picking up. So glad we are in for the night! I really hope this is the last winter storm we get before spring!
So although the weather outside was beyond frightful, I was not going to wait another day to get our save the dates out. I had them all ready to go on Wednesday for Bobby to take to the post office and what do you know, there was a huge fire in the apartment building next to us and it kind of threw everything off a little bit, understandably so I would say. So, as of about 630pm tonight they are officially in the USPS mail system and should be on their way to the hands of our ever so wonderful guests! I actually had such a weird feeling when I put them in the mail, almost a nervous/scared feeling. I literally paused before closing the mail shoot haha I don't know why! I couldn't wait to get them out, maybe it's just because NOW everything is seriously happening and our wedding is right around the corner and it's really hard to believe! REALLY exciting, but crazy too because it has been such a long time coming! :)
Next on the wedding agenda is to call the hotel for our room blocks and finalize our contract with them. I keep forgetting to do it (I wonder why) but I am going to try to call tomorrow and hopefully the lady I need to speak with is in. If not, there's always Monday!

What a Week!
Wow, this week has just been "one of those" weeks and I am flat out exhausted. I never caught up from the busy weekend and this week was beyond crazy, therefore I just fell more behind on rest and today could barely function. Then to round off the week the neighboring apartment, which we share a WALL with caught on fire yesterday. Yes, a legitimate FIRE...I was at work and Bobby was home and he texted me "it smells like a camp fire" so he goes and looks out the window and there are flames billowing out of the window and by that point he hears the fire truck sirens...followed by the firemen banging on the doors of our apartment telling everyone to "get the eff out". Turned out they had to go through our ceiling in our bathroom and the ceiling in our spare bedroom to help put out the fire. This all happened around 3pm yesterday so Bobby ended up coming over to the family's house that I work and just hung out until I got off at 530. We had no idea what to expect, and were expecting the worst, but it definitely wasn't the worst. Yes we had huge holes in our ceilings, but they had nailed some dry wall boards over them temporarily and will have to come back in and patch everything up. Bobby's clothes were covered in debri from the ceiling and there was soot all over the bathroom and our apartment smelled (and still smells) like smoke, but nothing irreplaceable was ruined and we were able to still have a place to live. Four apartments burned yesterday, displacing 4 families. I am beyond thankful that that didn't happen to us, but feel terrible for the people that it did happen to. Our apartment complex is wonderful though and have put them up in new apartments until they are able to gut and rebuild the inside of those apartments, however long that will take.
Talk about STRESS! That is quite literally that 'what would you grab from your house if it were on fire" moments and what did Bobby grab you ask? My laptop, our external hard drive full of pictures, and last but not least...our save the dates. LOL. Bless his heart. <3
So since all of his clothes in his closet got covered in debri guess who got to take it all to work and wash it all today...me. On top of taking care of twins. It was just an exhausting day running on about 4.5 hours of sleep...just not really practical for me. The lack of sleep definitely compounds upon itself and by my friday I am beat and can't WAIT to sleep in tomorrow. I didn't have the energy to do my leg and back workout today, which sucks, this week has been kind of off but I am only a day behind so I am planning on getting a lot of rest tonight and doing a double tomorrow with legs/back and kenpo. Just gotta do it and make it work!
Next week is going to be another type of stressful week...Bobby's big huge super important interview in Houston...I hope I survive the next month. :/
